
An accomplished saxophonist and woodwind doubler, Damian Cremisio performed with the Andy Williams Orchestra for four years, going on tour with the orchestra as well as playing at the Andy Williams Theatre in Branson, Missouri.
After attending the University of Akron in Ohio, where he pursued a music education and jazz studies major, he set out on career that has taken him throughout the entire United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Asia. For several years Damian led his own show group, “City Rhythms,” and performed in such venues as the Calgary Stampede in Canada.
In 1995 he founded a jazz fusion group called “Rush Hour” during which time he was chosen as one of ten winners for Jazziz Magazine’s “Woodwinds on Fire” competition judged by Michael Brecker, David Murray and Eddie Daniels. Damian’s original composition “Big Al” was used on a compilation CD released by Jazziz Magazine. Some of his other original compositions have been used by cable public access television shows in New York City.
From 1996 to 1998 he worked in Charleston, South Carolina in a live stage show produced by the FOX Family channel called “Serenade.” Other highlights include national tours with Broadway shows of Footloose, Steel Pier, Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line and The Pajama Game, national and international tours with Andy Williams, appearing on the Jerry Lewis Telethon with both Andy Williams and Glen Campbell.
Damian currently resides in New Jersey and performs with pit orchestras, does studio and cabaret work.
